Shireland’s Debate Mate team has achieved an impressive 2nd place in the West Midlands Secondary Core, placing among the top 50% of schools in the final league table!
As a result of the teams amazing performance, and shortlisting in the National Novice Core, they have been invited back to compete for the title of UDL National Champions 2023 at the Urban League Finals.
Through their hard work and dedication, the team have demonstrated and honed their speaking and listening skills, teamwork, leadership and confidence, while also finding their unique voice.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to seeing their continued success as they embark on the next stage of the competition. Congratulations!
