Sixth Form students at Shireland Collegiate Academy in Smethwick are celebrating their A level results today, as they reflect on their achievements and prepare to follow a wide range of pathways into higher education, apprenticeships and employment. Families, staff and the wider Academy community came together to share in learners’ achievements, recognising the hard work and commitment that have shaped their post-16 experience. 53% of all grades were A*/A or Distinction*/Distinction, demonstrating the exceptional dedication and achievement across Sixth Form; this is up 10% on last year’s outcomes. Performances were strong across a broad range of subjects, with particular highlights in History, Religious Studies, Geography and Further Maths.
