Today marks the culmination of years of hard work and dedication for students, their families and Academy staff who have supported them every step of the way as they now look to secure places at their chosen universities, apprenticeships and employment.
Students achieved highly this year with 97% of students achieving a pass rate at grades A-C, including 20% receiving grades at the highest standard of A*-A and 20% gaining grades A A B or higher.
Shireland continues to deliver strong performances, with all subjects having delivered excellent results, particularly in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
In addition to the Academy’s ongoing success, individual highlights include Fatima, who excelled to achieve A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Sanjiv, Ali, Abdullahi, and Khadijah, who achieved A* and A grades across all their subjects, with Sajiv having been offered a place to study Law at the London School of Economics and Ali to study Mathematics at Warwick University. Abdullahi and Khadija have also received offers to study Computer Science and Pharmacy respectively at the University of Birmingham.

Students pursuing BTEC courses have also excelled this year, particularly in Business and Health and Social Care, where 75% attained either Distinction or Distinction*. This was also the average grade achieved across the board for BTECs.
