Shireland Collegiate Academy is delighted to announce that it will be opening its doors to prospective students and their parents on Tuesday 17 September 4.00pm-7.00pm. No need to book, just turn up.
Shireland Collegiate Academy is an oversubscribed school that has received three consecutive outstanding judgements from Ofsted in every category inspected, including quality of teaching and effectiveness of leadership and management, student outcomes and student behaviour and safety.
During the open event, families will have the opportunity to engage with subject departments, look around the Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities, speak with staff and students about life at Shireland and meet the Principal.
Principal, Moira Green, said: “Our open events are a wonderful experience for us and families alike and we know that this year will be no exception.
“We encourage families to arrive early, allowing ample time to fully immerse themselves in our outstanding Academy and get the most out of their visit. Attending our open event will provide you the invaluable opportunity to ensure the right choice for your child’s education.”
Applications for parents applying for secondary school places through Sandwell are now open, with applications through Dudley opening Sunday 1 September 2024. From these dates, parents of children moving into Year 7 will be able to apply for their place via their local authority.
