End of Term Arrangements
This has been another busy term at Shireland. Students in Year 11 will have completed their mock examinations as they continue to prepare for their external examinations in the Summer. Parents of these students will receive the results in early January with annual reports following soon after.
We have also been preparing for our production of FAME Junior during our Theatre School sessions on Thursdays after school and we are looking forward to welcoming families to our performances on 15th and 16th December. Tickets for these performances are available for families to purchase on ParentPay and we hope to see as many of you there as possible over the two evenings.
Our Sixth Form students produced an evening of dance, drama and music performances that were of the highest quality, and we thoroughly enjoyed being back in the Auditorium. For more details of the many events that have taken place please have a look at the Newsletter on the Student Portal that will be available at the end of term.
The last day of term will be Friday, 17 December 2021. Students will be released from the Academy from 12:20pm. Students who are entitled to Free School Meals will be able to collect sandwiches from the Dining Room as they are dismissed.
We have been informed by the DfE that students will be required to test onsite upon their return to the Academy in January 2022. This will mean a staggered start for students and there will be a letter to follow with further information about this.
Only students that we have previously received consent for from families will take part in the onsite testing programme. If you have not previously given consent, but would like to do so please click the LINK to submit your response.
